I’ve been thinking more lately about the people and stories behind the objects we carry at Moon+Arrow. How nothing here is mass-made or anonymous. Everything comes with care, intention, and a history worth holding onto.

Like Latch Key Ceramics. Each mug has this small, satisfying thumbprint where the maker held it. That little mark somehow makes it feel more like yours the second you pick it up.

Or Kiliim, a social enterprise based in Egypt that partners with artisans to keep traditional kilim weaving alive. We’ve carried their textiles for a while, but now we’re thrilled to carry their new ceramic collection. These pieces are handmade by women in Fayoum, a region known for pottery. Each mug, bowl, and plate is shaped and painted by hand. The forms are beautiful and modern, but they still carry that feeling of something deeply rooted. They are meant to be used, which I love. There’s something grounding about drinking your coffee from a cup that holds someone else’s care in it.

Another new treasure in the store is Scarf Shop. Born in a sunny Minneapolis studio, where artist Virginia Johnson dyes each scarf by hand in small batches. The result? Rich, layered hues that feel like light caught in fabric, soft, nuanced, and never exactly the same twice.

Using low-impact dyes and natural fibers like cotton, silk, and wool, Scarf Shop makes scarves that are light, versatile, and meant to be lived in. Wrap one as a headscarf, layer it through the seasons, or drape it over your shoulders when the air turns cool.

These are everyday pieces that hold meaning, soft on the skin, grounding to wear, and made with care from start to finish.

We’ve been sharing more of these stories on Instagram lately, but I wanted to take a minute here to slow down. To say thank you for caring about this side of the work.
